When can bloggers take a holiday?

I have noticed that with the exception of our “blogaddicts” many bolggers are slowing down or have already taken their holiday. Bisi, i haven’t seen a new blog fom you in ages. Even Judy i’m amazed at your behaviour! There is almost a month’s gap between your latest blog and your last blog. What example is that??? i shall be going on blog holiday soon! What do we need to do to round off this transformation programme? i’ve indeed been transformed!!

So what is a Survey Monkey?

This sounds interesting! i do quite a bit of pupil questionnaires and interviews etc. if there is a monkey out there who can help me do it easier and quicker i will definately like to know more. Judy i need to come and see you for a one2one. Let me know when you will be available. Susan let me know how you set up your blog. Could i do a joint research with you on the use of blogs to engage pupils with behaviour difficulties? that sounds tedious already ….aaarrrrhhhhh!!!!

using openmind2

i made some new discovery about openmind. if you create a link to a word document but then move the document later from its origional location the link doesn’t work anymore. and another thing… Lloyd what was it i discovered? Can’t remeber anymore!!!

wikispaces

I was wondering how to set up a blog for a group of about 10 pupils to blog their thoughts about different aspects of a lesson. i’ve learnt that it’s easier to create a wikispace where members will have to be invited before they can post their ideas. i did a trail with the consultants but it wasn’t easy to navigate your way about the page. Anybody got any brilliant ideas. Judy i’m waiting for some easy way out…

I’ve managed to complete one piece of work in open mind and leant to convert it tinto a JPEG, upload in flickr and blog! i didn’t do pack and go so i’ve lost all the comments and plans that i attached. Also i was disppointed to learn that i couldn’t email this document to a colleague because she doesn’t have the open mind software. i’m doing a presentation about SEAL but this means i have to physically take my labtop if i want to access all my attachments at the meeting. so much for technology! i know Judy is going to have ago at me….am scared!

After the course

It just dawned on me that the course has ended and i’m supposed to be answering my research question (which i’m still not sure what it is!) I would like to know who are the brave ones who have done something about it.

working hard!

I haven’t had time to attend any of the tea and cake sessions but i think i need some one-to-one support. i have been working really hard and doing my blogs more now than i’ve done before. i think i’ll come in early on Tuesday(next week) to get some input. i’ve used garage band to help my daughter with her A’ level English work, by recording quotes from the text that she needs to memorise. the sticky point is how do i burn it on cd? i’m not sure if the macbook has that facility. i’m awaiting your technological wisdom on that Judy.

Is technology a time saver?

I’ve spent all afternoon trying to attach a photo from flickr to my blog as well as trying to learn how to upload other stuff onto by blog. (will this be useful for a lesson? am yet to find out) I’ve engaged the technological minds of 2 consultants Steve and Lloyd and in terms of man hours if i were to cost that i don’t think i could pay them. I finally managed to get my “happy dog” unto the page. hoorah! Yesterday i watched Katy do a starter activity with crazy talk. It took her a very long time and this starter activity will last about 10 minutes of the whole lesson. Jane is also struggling with her open mind starter activity. From the groans and moans i keep hearing from her, i believe she firmly believes her life will be so much better if open mind had not been invented!!My question is ”is there a quicker way of using technology?” Selah (meaning-pause and think about it)
